  1. The NAACP was the organization that was launched in response but The Guardian was the name of the newspaper.
  2. The NAACP and the Guardian were ways to connect. They are what organized the ideas and they had the means and knowledge to do so. It was now intentional, organized and tactical. They had strategy.
  3. W.E.B DuBois was a bit more of a pacifist. He wanted peace and harmony and to be humanized. Trotter wanted people to be proud and their backgrounds while both educated, Trotter was much more direct.
  4. At the different venues that accommodated the movie, the NAACP organized protests and staged peaceful demonstrations but the show ultimately airs.
  5. Lynching is what was overlooked. If you look at the outcome of Gus’ this directly parallels that of some one like Emmett Till. I believe at this point it became a catalyst and more prevalent than what it may have been because of the cultural impact from the movie.
