Claim – African Americans are not equal and have an inclination towards savagery and rebellion and because they’ve been enslaved, they are more likely to rebel and dominate areas.

Reasons – If you look at native countries such as Egypt and Congo they enslave their own people and them prospering has always came from the help of white people. Everyone regards them as the inferior race.

Evidence – Anecdotal stories and experiences as a confederate soldier in the south

Warrant – His experiences with the KKK have taught him that white is the supreme race.

Counteragrument – He doesn’t give one

Rebuttal – There isn’t one.

Important to note that he mentions in the reading about how the founding fathers are too lenient and left the constitution up to interpretation and the people of America ran with it. He gets his information from nationalists and social scientists.

He appears to be using pathos and ethos to appeal to people’s emotions. By bringing God into the equation he appears to be just the messenger and by citing examples of why Black Americans in society has not worked globally it appeals to people’s ideas of why should it work for us?
