HW 1/16

Rhetorical analysis is in many ways a literary art that encompasses writing about writing. Rhetorical analysis takes a literary work and dissects all of the elements that comprise it. In this particular area of discourse, we analyze the why of the writing, the feelings it seeks to provoke, the structural organization, factuality, audience, etc and whether or not that author was able to appropriately convey what is intended. Becoming a good analytical writer, however, requires becoming a good critical reader. Those who engage with the text on deeper levels ultimately, comprehend the works to a larger degree. By engaging in these skills and keeping a keen and mindful eye as outlined in this annotation, more holistic views of literary works are provided.
